PRAYER FOR A BLESSED DEATH

Jesus, the Lord of life and death, I entrust to you the time of my death. During our life time, bless us to follow your footsteps so that we become entitled to enter eternal life on our death. Receiving sacraments at the appropriate times enable us to live each moment of our life with full readiness to come to you. Empower us so that each night when we go to sleep we have the satisfaction of entrusting our soul to your loving hands. Save us from the fear of the end of life and death. Give us the conviction that we have been reclaimed and purified by the sacrifice in Golgotha. Holy Mother, as you stood lovingly near the cross of your son, be at my side when I am in the throes of death. Lead me to the love of your son. Help me so that the last words that come out of my lips should be “Jesus Mary Joseph”. St. Joseph, who is the patron for holy deaths, pray for us. Amen (3 Our Father.3Hail Mary.3Glory)

PRAYER FOR THE DESTITUTE
Lord God, you are the source of all life, and, therefore, sanctify and protect the lives of all men. Look with compassion at the thousands of the destitute children of yours that crowd the street corners and urban centres as they have no homes or even a roof over their heads. Help them to make the remainder of their lives joyful by sending to them your workers. By serving the destitute and the downtrodden, you will be served and your name glorified. Amen (1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary, 1 Glory).

"He will regard the prayer of the destitute,
and will not despise their prayer" (Ps 102:17).

A PRAYER IN TIME OF LONELINESS

Lord Jesus, I am sorely afflicted with loneliness. I feel as if there is nobody for me in this big, wide world. Lord, I feel terrified at this fearful predicament of mine. Help me to overcome this depressive feeling. If I am united with you, I will never be lonely and alone. I know you are constantly with me.
Help me to love all those brethren whom you have given to be my helpers on my path to eternal salvation. Do teach me that it is essential for me to have my brethren with me in my quest to eternal bliss. Give me the grace to feel that you are always with me. Amen! (1 Our father, 3 Hail Mary's and 1 Glory).

A PRAYER FOR THE FARMERS
Lord the Father, who made the universe and man in just six days, bless this earth and those who work on it. You see how many peasants, who earn their livelihood through farming, are struggling hard because of the destruction caused to their crops by natural calamities and due to fall of prices of their produce. You control everything. You help all who pray to you and so we request you to regulate things for the welfare of all. Please control the forces of Nature so that natural calamities, destruction to crops and weather changes do not wreak havoc on people’s lives. You are the creator as well as the protector of all. Amen(1 Our 3 Hail 1 Glory)

"You are all children of light and children of the day; we are not of the night or of darkness. So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober"

A PRAYER FOR THOSE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DARK POWERS

Lord God, grant conversion to the practitioners of divination and sorcery and those throng to them without relying on your protection and power. Give wisdom to those who are caught in the vicious web of the evil powers because of their ignorance. Save all your children from superstitions, unbelief and atheistic outfits. I dedicate all the pains I suffer today for the change of heart of people misguided by the powers of darkness and evil.
